Logistics Supervisor

The Excalibur Group is currently seeking Logistics Supervisors in Washington, DC to provide care and support for DC residents at shelters throughout the district.

PRIMARY LOCATIONS

• Candidates must originate from the Washington DC area.
• Job sites will be in Washington DC.
• Job sites are subject to change or be added based on client needs and continued employment requires you to be able to work on site.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage facility supplies and resources, to include tracking, storage, and upkeep in alignment with other Provider responsibilities (e.g., cleaning supplies managed through Janitorial provider).
• Manage inventory, tracking, and sorting of clothing and personal items in the clothing store on-site.
• Supervise and assist with the movement of facility resources, furniture, and fixtures in a safe and thoughtful manner.
• Oversee the monitoring of the physical condition of the facility by conducting internal and external rovers each shift-change to ensure a clean, safe and hazard-free environment.
• Serve as liaison to external entities; report all maintenance concerns to designated District contacts.
• Coordinate and manage facility signage, pathway management/closures, and availability of basic resources in accordance with Reception and Respite services.
• Support development and maintenance of work schedule, ensuring proper coverage and management of logistical needs.
• Reviews resolutions to logistical requests for quality and completeness.
• Conduct monitoring of logistical specialist performance on a regular basis.

LOCATIONS

• Be available and willing to travel to multiple locations within Washington DC and deal with multiple daily work scenarios, thinking quickly on your feet to complete assigned tasks in a professional manner.
• This position will require work to be conducted onsite and will require work on some weekends/holidays in excess of 40 hours per week with Over Time Pay.
• Job sites will be on New York Ave NE in Washington DC.
• Job sites are subject to change or be added based on client needs and continued employment requires you to be able to work on site.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in logistics or supply chain management preferred.
• Three years’ experience supervising procurement, organization, tracking, and distribution goods and services in shelter or hospitality environments.
• Experience should include:
• Development and implementation of logistical procedures.
• Staff training and schedule management.
• Coordination with site staff and mission partners.
• Ability and willingness to perform light housekeeping and lifting up to 30 pounds.
• Valid driver’s license required.

Preferred

• Spanish speaking fluency.
• DC Residency preferred.
• Professional Registrations or Certification including Project Management.
