Job Summary:
The Credit Manager oversees and manages the credit and collections strategy including planning, directing, and organizing the activities of the Credit Analyst team. The Credit Manager initiates policies and practices for analyzing customer requests for credit, minimizing the company's financial risk, and implementing internal control systems. In addition, The Credit Manager works and collaborates closely with Sales and Finance leadership team to ensure the highest level of customer service. Hours: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5pm. This is an in-office position we are not offering remote or hybrid at this time.

What you will be doing:
Leadership:
  • Develop and mentor team members to foster leadership skills and improve team performance.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to credit and collections performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with sales, finance, operations, and customer service teams to ensure seamless credit processes and high customer satisfaction.
  • Proactively communicate with Senior Management on current developments.
Credit Management:
  • Responsible for implementation and management of the Credit departments' strategy including understanding of requirements from each business segment (Commercial, Multi-Family, Dealer, and Installation).
  • Oversee training and activity management, and development of ongoing operational support.
  • Perform accurate analysis of financial statements and research commercial credit reports, trade references and credit applications to evaluate the credit worthiness of new and existing customers.
  • Establish credit limits and payment terms for new and existing customers and partners with the CFO and Controller when initiating a risk assessment.
  • Coordinate and deliver timely management reporting of credit and customer activities, risks, and trends.
  • Participate in developing and documenting policies, procedures, and internal controls for credit processes, focusing on opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to credit and collections performance to drive continuous improvement.
  • Report timely customer and credit updates to management on a regular basis.

  • Relevant industry experience in distribution, wholesale or construction related industries.
  • Five or more years of related credit and collections management experience with a focus on process management.
  • Familiarity with credit management software, automated systems, and ERP platforms.
  • Basic knowledge of legal regulations related to credit, collections, and contracts particularly for commercial projects.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
