Job Description:

Successful Regional Sales Managers love the sales process, excel at motivating a team of sellers, understand the needs and lifecycle of the Financial Services industry, and are passionate about helping clients find the best solutions.

Responsibilities:

  1. Responsible for driving a regional sales team on Toppan Merrill’s strategy and product offering by providing leadership, direction, and functional expertise to ensure regional results.
  2. Direct and motivate the sales team and set strategic priorities and activities within the region.
  3. Attract, assess, coach and develop talent on team.
  4. Leverage knowledge of specific industry segments, trends, and client challenges to develop and deliver compelling value propositions.
  5. Pro-active and effective sales planning and funnel management – covering market segmentation, identification of target accounts and contacts, development of account strategy. Focus on pipeline growth and driving opportunities to closure.
  6. Set and implement a business development plan as well as prepare revenue forecasts.
  7. Develop relationships with key internal partners, peers and specialty areas to address issues or to develop stronger products and processes for driving growth and expanding our products and services.
  8. Champion consultative selling – leading to long term client relationships and recurring revenue streams.
  9. Understand and exploit the use of Salesforce.com.

Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • 10+ years experience in Sales.
  • 4+ years experience leading and managing a regional team of sellers.
  • Proven track record for developing new business opportunities and managing B2B sales cycle.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit, self-motivated, a team player, passionate, and highly driven.
  • Demonstrated negotiation and closing techniques in securing business.
  • History of meeting and exceeding quarterly and annual goals/quotas.
  • Solid leadership and organizational skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in the financial services industry is a plus.
