As an SEC Reporting consultant, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: preparing and filing SEC Reports (10-K, 10-Q) and Earning Releases; interpreting financial accounting policies and SEC requirements; providing guidance to business partners with regard to interpretation of changes; researching and monitoring financial data; ensuring compliance with all SEC requirements, US GAAP, and client policies and procedures; communicating financial requirements to the business units that provide data for the reports; coordinating with other reporting groups in gathering accurate information; responding to internal/external inquiries regarding financial disclosures reported or filed; and managing project deliverables across multiple areas of client organization to ensure timely completion within budget.

Work with cross-functional teams to perform gap analysis of current and future state, develop business requirements and assist in the solution design to enable work streams that comply with newly issued accounting pronouncements
Assess the impact of new accounting pronouncements on current policies and standards, author memos and accounting policy documents to address the impact from any change in accounting requirements
Work closely with the accounting and finance teams in addressing day-to-day business activities and associated accounting implications
Bachelor’s Degree of Accounting, Finance or related field required; advanced degree a plus
Recent Financial Services industry experience is required
5+ years of public accounting, related consulting or industry experience
Strong understanding of FASB, US GAAP, and SEC rules and regulations
Excellent consulting, influencing, and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of an organization with a strong attention to detail
Experienced with general ledger accounting, month-end close, reconciliations, financial statements, variance analysis and strong knowledge of US GAAP
Proficiency with Excel essential, exposure to a major ERP system (i. . SAP, Oracle, Peoplesoft) preferred
Hybrid work arrangement, requiring 3 days onsite in NYC.
Compensation commensurate with employee qualifications, experience, and other factors including geographic location, market, and operational factors.
Pay Range: $75-80 per hour
