Project Manager

Crankstart is seeking a Project Manager to lead the planning and execution of large, complex, and strategically significant projects across a range of programmatic strategy areas (Economic Mobility, Education, Democracy, Housing Security, Environment, and Medical Science and Innovation) and organizational operations for the foundation.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead project planning and execution across various programmatic strategy areas.
2. Manage end-to-end organizational strategic and operational planning processes.
3. Set goals and forecast budgets for projects.
4. Utilize informal influence and non-positional leadership to accomplish work.
5. Synthesize complex concepts and information to aid decision-making.

Qualifications:

1. Five+ years of professional experience working in the private sector (private for-profit or public company).
2. At least 2+ years of direct project management responsibilities.
3. A passion for leveraging experience for social good and social justice.
4. A track record as a high-capacity generalist who can add immediate value to any team and project.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on detail orientation and organization.

The starting salary for this role is $185,000 - $205,000. This position is a hybrid role based in San Francisco and reports to the Senior Program Officer – Democracy & Environment.
