We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Personal Property Officer to join our AFO Team at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of DOD transportation regulations, policies, and procedures, and related systems such as the Defense Personal Property System.ResponsibilitiesServes as a subject matter expert on DOD transportation regulations, entitlements, and procedures, providing guidance and assistance to team members as needed.Liaises with military bases, transportation offices, and third-party carriers to facilitate the smooth and timely execution of transportation services.Addresses escalated transportation-related issues and concerns, resolving conflicts and disputes in a professional and diplomatic manner.Ensures compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to transportation counseling activities, maintaining accurate records and documentation.Collaborates with other departments, including customer service, logistics, and quality assurance, to streamline processes and enhance overall customer satisfaction.Stays up-to-date on changes to DOD transportation policies and procedures, communicating updates to team members and providing training as necessary.QualificationsMust be a U.S. Citizen or permanent legal resident with oral and written fluency in the English language.Must possess and maintain a valid state issued driver’s license.Must undergo pre-employment background screening and drug testing.Must be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card within first 90 calendar days of employment.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.Proven problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing challenges and finding solutions.Proficiency in relevant computer software applications, including transportation management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.Experience in transportation counseling or a related field, with previous supervisory experience.Desired Qualifications:Certification as a DOD Personal Property Shipping Office (PPSO) counselor is a plus.Bachelor's degree in transportation management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.Pay Range22.85BenefitsSCA - The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) and a range of other voluntary benefits.
