NO call, NO holidays and NO weekends!
Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is seeking a skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our medical team who wants to work Monday - Thursday with occasional half day Fridays. Eye Surgery Center of Nashville is a single specialty Ophthalmology Ambulatory Surgery Center in downtown Nashville. Job Summary
The Sterile Processing Technologist cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation and sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases. He/she is responsible for all departmental functions in support of USPI's mission, vision, and facility goals. This position establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.

Required Skills:
  • Must be a Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2-3 years experience as Instrument Room Technician.
  • Experience with all types of sterilizers.
  • Knows operating room instrumentation.
  • Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray.
  • Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer.
  • Understands Sterrad sterilizers.
  • Ability to prepare reports and keep records.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required.
