YOU

As a National Account Manager, you will work closely with the National Account team to develop and maintain national accounts, increase business among existing clients, and promote the organization to new clients to meet strategic business objectives. Sales experience in national accounts, co-ops, buying groups, and the building materials industry is strongly desired.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING (% of Time)

  1. Work with National Account Managers to develop new business with existing customers and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas. Negotiate and maintain buying agreements. Forecast sales of products. Coordinate pricing with the Business Analyst. Manage, coordinate, and analyze logistical data. Execute Fastening and Anchor ecommerce strategy at Lowes. Develop and execute Pro Sales strategy at Lowes. Drive Fastening and Anchor business with Lowe’s Hardware Merchant group. (50%)
  2. Collaborates and assists with the coordination of Lowes events including booth layout, staffing, and product and program sales. (10%)
  3. Work with marketing to develop influential and effective sales and merchandising collateral. Analyze sales data with product management to develop new product programs. (10%)
  4. Drive results by working with National Retail regional sales team to identify and create sales opportunities. Track data using point of sales reporting and Salesforce. (10%)
  5. Develop and maintain planograms in conjunction with the Product Manager and National Accounts Regional Managers in the branches. (10%)
  6. Work with branch inside sales management and staff to ensure customer service expectations are exceeded. Coordinate customer service activities, including third party organizations and focus on Special Order Sales. (10%)

Desired Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 4 years of experience in sales, account management, and customer service.
  • 4 years of experience working with national accounts, co-ops, and/or buying groups preferred.
  • 4 years of experience working in the building materials industry desired.
  • Communication: Ability to write in a clear, concise, organized, and convincing manner for the intended audience. Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, team members, and customers.
  • Analysis: Ability to analyze and collect data. Ability to make sound business judgments.
  • Influence: Ability to gain cooperation from others to obtain information and accomplish goals.
  • Client relationship: Ability to build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships.
  • Self-Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. Ability to be self-directed to solve business issues.
  • Customer Focus: Ability to build and sustain productive customer relationships.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in CRM and database software, Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates in both a professional office environment, customer sites, and outdoor construction job sites. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers/scanners, etc. The employee occasionally works around moving mechanical parts. The noise level may be loud at times.

TRAVEL

This position requires domestic travel up to 50% of the time.

WORK STATUS & LOCATION

This full-time, exempt position is in Mooresville, NC region.

RELOCATION

Relocation is available for this position.

PAY

$80400 - $104400 / year
