Company: The Company is a leading developer, sponsor and owner-operator of utility scale solar/energy storage projects throughout the United States.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer/General Counsel with at least one direct report in this role, you will represent the Company internally/externally on all corporate and project finance deals by advising, structuring, negotiating and driving to closure a range of equity, debt and structured finance transactions. You will work closely with the Chief Financial Officer, the EVP of Legal Strategy, the SVP (Corporate Finance & Capital Strategy), and the SVP (Project Finance) in this role and have opportunity for much career development in this role and beyond.
Experience: The successful candidate has at least 10-15+ years of relevant legal experience in project finance structures, tax equity finance, debt finance (including term loans, back leverage, revolving credit and other debt facilities), corporate finance, at a top nationally ranked law firm or in-house with a developer, sponsor and/or owner-operator of solar facilities; must have deep experience in structuring, negotiating, and closing complex and cutting-edge finance transactions. Experience with tax equity structuring, including inverted leases/lease-pass through structures and/or hybrid tax credit transfer structures, is a plus. Renewable energy industry experience is a must-have. Strong leadership experience is a priority in this role; must have executive presence and ability to inspire confidence, have excellent legal/business judgment, and be commercially minded with both internal and external stakeholders.
Location/Relocation: Remote
Compensation: $300k - $330k base plus 35% bonus.
Bar: Must have J.D. and be active member and in good standing in at least one U.S. Bar.
