The Director of HR Compliance is responsible for ensuring that the organization adheres to all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, as well as internal policies. This role involves the development, implementation, and monitoring of human resource compliance programs, conducting audits, and working in close partnership with the HR department and leadership team to mitigate risks and ensure best practices in compliance.

Key deliverables for this role include:
Executing compliance related activities in alignment with state/federal law as well as SEE policy to include the completion of federal/state filings, customer survey requests and supporting internal requests for information.
Communicating and leading implementation of new regulatory requirements with relevant stakeholders.
Reviewing, developing and updating SEE policies to ensure compliance with local, state and federal law and ensuring that policies are communicated effectively to employees and managers.
Conducting regular audits to assess the organization’s ongoing adherence to policy, procedures and legal requirements.
Identifying gaps and recommending corrective action to remedy any deficiencies that are identified.
Managing a small, centralized team of shared service resources focused on executing tactical HR activities for the network.
Serving as a primary advisor for the HR Operations team to ensure that all company policies and guidelines are applied consistently and appropriately across the network.
Developing and delivering training programs to educate managers and employees on policy and compliance requirements.
Supporting the SEE Legal and Internal Audit teams by conducting internal investigations as required.

The ideal candidate will have the following: Education and experience:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law, or a related field
A minimum of 5+ years experience within HR compliance or a related role
Demonstrated working knowledge of employment laws and regulations
Prior experience conducting internal audits and compliance investigations
Prior experience with SuccessFactors or similar HCM system

Additional competencies/capabilities needed include:
Must have strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex legal requirements
Must have excellent presentation skills (both verbal and written)
Must be highly organized, reliable, and approach work and accountabilities with an owner mentality
Ability to consistently exercise sound judgement, integrity, discretion while maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
Ability to work independently and escalate issues to leadership appropriately.
