Position Overview:

Seeking a seasoned Director of Debt Capital Markets to play a pivotal role in structuring, executing, and managing debt financing solutions. This individual will collaborate closely with our investment teams, institutional clients, and lenders to support capital raising efforts and optimize financing structures for portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will have a robust network in the private credit space, a deep understanding of capital markets, and experience leading complex debt transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and execute debt capital markets transactions, including term loans, bonds, asset-based lending, and other credit instruments.
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers, investment teams, and external stakeholders to structure financing solutions that meet strategic objectives.
  • Manage relationships with lenders, institutional investors, and other financial partners to source and secure capital.
  • Oversee the negotiation of terms and conditions for credit agreements, working with legal and compliance teams.
  • Monitor market trends and provide strategic insights on market conditions, interest rates, and liquidity.
  • Lead due diligence and credit analysis for new transactions, assessing risk profiles and ensuring alignment with the firm's investment strategy.
  • Support portfolio companies in their refinancing and capital structure optimization efforts.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in debt capital markets, investment banking, or private credit, with a focus on middle-market transactions.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and closing complex debt financings.
  • Strong network of lender and investor relationships within the private credit space.
  • Deep understanding of capital structures, credit agreements, and debt instruments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple transactions simultaneously.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills.
  • MBA, CFA, or equivalent advanced degree preferred but not required.
