Primary Role Objectives:

The Staff Accountant, Corporate Accounting will be responsible for working with IDEX’s global business units to reconcile intercompany charges and expense allocations. This role will ensure proper recording of cash movement in corporate’s accounts. A great entry level position that allows for learning IDEX’s hierarchy of international businesses and gaining knowledge about the corporate office’s standard operating expenses. This role has substantial exposure to cost center owners, as well as to our finance partners located in the field. Opportunities to cross-train within the Accounting function, as well as across corporate financial disciplines. This position will be based at our corporate office in Chicago, IL. Our corporate office employees have the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

  1. Record corporate’s daily cash movement
  2. Manage weekly intercompany statements to global business units
  3. Reconcile intercompany receivables/payables
  4. Provide financial variance analysis, forecasting and budgeting support for corporate department leaders
  5. Act as corporate liaison between corporate AP and the field
  6. Reconcile key balance sheet accounts
  7. Cross-train with team members to enable backup support for Corporate Accounting deliverables
  8. Journalize weekly and monthly intercompany expense allocations
  9. Maintain misc. schedules, logs, process documents as needed
  10. Record other corporate activity as required

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required, CPA eligible preferred.

Excellent organization and time management skills; attention to detail; ability to adhere to deadlines.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Demonstrated strengths in problem-solving; ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Experience with JDE or similar accounting system a plus, but not required.
