What you will do?

As the Program Director you will oversee the operations of your assigned group care program(s). This position will be responsible for program management, project and personnel supervision, team development, compliance and documentation, and staff performance while actively providing direct care service for clients. Specific duties include:

Operations

  • Ensure that programs in assigned areas of responsibility meet or exceed performance and licensing standards.
  • Supervise staff on quality & timeliness of service provision and required documentation.
  • Supervise staff on case progress & outcomes.
  • Monitor regulatory, licensing, certification, and accreditation standards to assure compliance.
  • Assures accurate and timely completion of documentation & reports
  • Analyze data to continuously improve program operations, service delivery quality, and program efficiencies.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead a cohesive team in support of agency mission, goals, and values.
  • Direct all work from assigned area to assure that unit goals are achieved.
  • Interpret operational policies & procedures for assigned staff members.
  • Complete probationary and annual employee performance reviews within timelines.
  • Identify and resolve barriers to achieving performance goal attainment.

Client/External

  • Effectively interact/communicate with parents to ensure coordinated service delivery.
  • Coordinate and meet with community & collateral agencies
  • Attend related community meetings/events as needed.

People

  • Create a positive, outcome-oriented culture for staff and supervisors within the program.
  • Collaborate with other leaders, works annual action plans to improve staff satisfaction (as measured by the agencys Employee Survey).
  • Oversee the scheduling of staff in his/her assigned programs.
  • Provide case, skill and/or personnel supervision dependent on assigned program responsibilities.
  • Supervise staff on quality and timeliness of service provision and case progress.
  • Perform a range of functions, including hiring, establishing expectations, performance tracking & feedback, and employee relations.

What you need:

This position shall possess a minimum of a Bachelors Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Family Therapy, Sociology, Psychology, or related area of Human Services and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a social services agency. Additional requirements include:

  • Ability to be self-driven/reliant and work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational, work flow, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to show empathy/compassion to build trust-based relationships.
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance requirements for regulatory, training and documentation in residential care facility.
  • Proven track record of creating a positive, outcome-oriented culture for all staff members.
  • Effective developmental, planning, and analytical abilities.
  • Superior written & verbal communication skills.
