A law firm in Boston, MA, is seeking a Senior Intellectual Property Trademark Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience in trademark law. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive expertise in domestic and global trademark prosecution, strategy, enforcement, and management. They should have a strong background in trademark counseling, clearance searches and analysis, prosecution and maintenance of trademarks, portfolio management, handling trademark disputes, internet and e-commerce issues, and online investigations and enforcement matters. Additionally, experience in structuring, drafting, and negotiating agreements and contractual provisions related to intellectual property and trademarks is highly desired. Familiarity with managing IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and handling trademark disputes before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) is considered a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee all aspects of trademark prosecution, including advising clients on trademark matters, conducting clearance searches, and analyzing search results.
- Develop and implement trademark strategies to protect and enforce clients' trademark rights globally.
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements and contractual provisions pertaining to intellectual property and trademarks.
- Handle trademark disputes and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB).
- Conduct IP due diligence and manage litigation discovery processes related to trademark disputes.
- Provide counsel on internet and e-commerce issues impacting trademark rights and enforcement efforts.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the State Bar of Massachusetts or eligibility for admission.
- 3-5 years of experience practicing trademark law with a focus on prosecution and enforcement.
- Extensive knowledge of trademark law and procedures, both domestically and internationally.
- Strong proficiency in trademark counseling, clearance searches, and prosecution.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Experience with IP due diligence, litigation discovery, and TTAB proceedings preferred.
- Familiarity with internet and e-commerce issues related to trademark law.
Education:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
- Admission to the State Bar of Massachusetts or eligibility for admission.
Skills:
