Our product line ranges from all types of conveyor belting, conveying equipment and components, belting accessories, hose and fitting products, plastics, gasket, and power transmission products.

Job Summary:

The Director of Supply Chain will play a pivotal role in optimizing our supply chain processes, ensuring seamless coordination from product procurement to final product delivery. You will lead a team of supply chain professionals and collaborate cross-functionally to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain high-quality standards in our conveyor belt fabrication and distribution operations.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Strategic Planning:
    • Develop and implement supply chain strategies aligned with company goals and objectives.
    • Collaborate with executive leadership to define and execute long-term supply chain initiatives.
  • Procurement and Vendor Management:
    • Oversee the sourcing and procurement of materials, ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition.
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and reliability of the supply chain.
    • Develop and execute initiatives to achieve regular reduction in Cost of Materials, rebate improvements, and overall profitability contribution through Cost of Goods.
  • Strategic Inventory Management
    • Balance inventory network to maximize turnover, profitability, and utilization
    • Implement and execute plans to minimize slow moving and obsolete inventory
    • Coordinate, develop, and execute inventory management processes including cycle counting and physical inventory
  • Logistics and Distribution:
    • Streamline logistics operations for efficient transportation, warehousing, and distribution of all product categories (e.g. conveyor belts, hydraulic/industrial hose/fittings, power transmission components, and other associated products).
    • Drive cost savings through freight (inbound/outbound) initiatives.
    • Implement best practices to optimize inventory levels, reduce lead times, and enhance order fulfillment.
  • Quality Control:
    • Work closely with quality assurance teams to establish and maintain high-quality standards throughout the supply chain.
    • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination across departments.
    • Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve overall business performance.
  • Risk Management:
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks within the supply chain, such as disruptions, delays, or quality issues.
    • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and maintain business continuity.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting:
    • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) for supply chain operations.
    • Regularly analyze and report on supply chain performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of Supply Chain experience to include purchasing, sourcing, logistics, and inventory management
  • 5+ years of Supply Chain management experience in roles of increased responsibility, with most recent experience as a senior functional manager
  • Experience managing Supply Chain activities for a national multi-site organization
  • Experience presenting to executive leadership and board of directors
  • Ability to lead top to top level meetings with customers and vendors on relevant topics
  • Proven experience in supply chain management, preferably in the manufacturing or distribution of industrial products.
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems and other supply chain management tools.

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and will require manual dexterity and strength in arms.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position in office. Typical workdays and hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm. Occasional travel, overtime hours, and weekend work may be required.

Pay Range: $130,000 - $150,000 a year
