Job Overview:
A reputable law firm located in Dallas, TX is seeking an experienced Family Lawyer to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for family law, adept at handling complex cases involving prenuptial agreements, divorce, alimony, child custody, and other related matters. This role requires a licensed attorney in Texas, with courtroom experience and a proven record of success in both litigation and negotiation. The position is in-person and includes extensive court time, with the opportunity for career growth and a profit-sharing program.

Duties:

  • Represent clients in court proceedings related to family law, including divorce, child custody, and support.
  • Draft necessary legal documents such as pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgments, and orders.
  • Collaborate with paralegals and senior partners to ensure swift resolution of civil litigation processes.
  • Prepare and organize client files, ensuring up-to-date documentation.
  • Provide representation in sensitive cases involving child abuse, domestic violence, and high-stakes family law matters.

Requirements:

  • Licensed attorney in Texas with active standing.
  • Demonstrated experience in family law cases, particularly in areas such as divorce, alimony, child custody, and prenuptial agreements.
  • Experience handling sensitive legal issues, such as domestic violence and child abuse, is a plus.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills, especially in high-emotion situations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage a high volume of cases.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in the state of Texas.

Skills:

  • Strong courtroom presence and comfort with litigation.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail in legal documentation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with clients, paralegals, and senior attorneys.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases simultaneously.
