As a Key Account Manager Credentialing, you will develop relationships with key decision-makers within assigned Key Accounts. With minimal assistance and supervision, maximize AMA's market share and revenue through sales, promotion, and contract negotiations for AMA's product lines to meet financial and operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with key decision-makers within assigned Key Accounts.
- Maximize AMA's market share and revenue through sales, promotion, and contract negotiations.
- Establish, manage, and maintain ongoing relationships with senior management of existing and new accounts.
- Facilitate and oversee high-level contract negotiations and evaluate applicable new business leads for Credentialing and other products.
- Liaise closely with Legal, HSG & AMA Finance, Marketing, Operations, and Product Management.
- Nurture and expand current strategic relationships for managing growth, profitability, customer loyalty, and customer-driven innovation.
- Accurately forecast revenue and develop plans to meet or exceed account revenue goals.
- Perform analytical functions necessary to monitor and report the revenue activity for accounts.
- Onboard new customers and execute training and account maintenance programs.
- Document activities and revenue opportunities in Salesforce.com.
- Identify new business opportunities with assigned accounts.
- Leverage existing AMA IP/assets to create partnership ideas that align with the AMA 3 to 5-year strategic plan.
- Collaborate with operations to ensure appropriate support for licensing, contracting, contract system support, and revenue management.
- Work closely with the HSG Finance team and AMA Finance to reconcile revenue issues opportunities.
- Contribute to sales and marketing strategy, pricing decisions, and competitive analysis by providing/reporting trend information and market intelligence.
- Represent AMA at association meetings, tradeshows, product fairs, and other projects as assigned.
- Collect competitive strategy information at an account level and keep ahead of market trends and customer needs.
- Work with product management to ensure they have the product and market information necessary to deliver best-in-class solutions.
- Offer ideas regarding new products and product enhancements to maximize revenue and customer satisfaction.
- May include other responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Degree in business, economics, health care administration, or related field required; MBA preferred.
- Minimum 7+ years total business experience; minimum 2 years healthcare-focused experience in sales.
- Polished selling skills, including strong presentation, persuasion, and negotiation skills with C-Level executives.
- Demonstrated ability to initiate, negotiate, and close sales and strategic partnerships with large corporate accounts.
- Able to relate well with all levels of customers.
- In-depth understanding of current environment in healthcare and demographic provider data preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting in a large group setting.
- Strong financial analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and anomalies.
- Ability to constructively formulate, present, and defend points of view that challenge conventional thinking.
- Excellent independent multi-task strategic planning, product development, and organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and problem solve effectively with minimal supervision.
