Summary
As a Receiving Clerk at Hotel Swexan, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our property receiving dock and warehouse storerooms. You will be responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing goods within the hotel's warehouse while maintaining high standards of efficiency and accuracy. Goods include F&B, (Food and Beverage Goods - to include Meat, Seafood, Fruit and Vegetables ) FF&E (Furniture and Fixtures) as well as OS&E (Operational Supplies and Equipment) products.
Job Functions
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as necessary to avoid depleted par levels and ensure timely availability of goods.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to reconcile physical stock with system records, investigating any discrepancies.
  • Ensure storerooms are secured when unattended. Follow current property SOP for entry and allowing into product storerooms.
  • Properly store goods in designated storage room locations, adhering to established inventory management procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock and warehouse environment, including regular inventory counts and stock rotation.
  • Implement efficient shelving and storage solutions to maximize space utilization.
  • Receive incoming shipments of goods, ensuring accuracy in quantity and quality. Having former knowledge on receiving guidelines for fruit, vegetables, meat and seafood is a plus for this position.
  • Inspect deliveries for damages and discrepancies, promptly reporting any issues to the appropriate department.
  • Verify received items, for all categories, against purchase orders and packing slips, resolving discrepancies as needed.
  • This position is physical by nature and requires the applicant to, at times, lift up to 50lbs.
  • Must be able to stand up to 8 hours per day.
  • Ability to work on weekends and holidays.
Education & Experience
  • Proven experience in a warehouse or inventory management role, preferably in a luxury hotel or hospitality setting.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Physical stamina and ability to lift and move heavy objects safely.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to warehouse operations.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
