The Senior Manager, Creative Director will lead and manage a centralized global design, creative and multimedia function in the development and execution of all content that aligns the organization's brand identity. This role will lead all creative strategy, services and execution across a complex organization and several business divisions, supporting them with a strong in-house design and creative team. The Senior Manager, Creative Director will provide strategic creative leadership to lead initiatives from concept to completion by developing and transforming creative solutions, managing creative teams and achieving global brand and business objectives. This individual needs to be a strong creative leader with a passion for storytelling and a strong eye for visuals.
What You Will Do at Graco
Creative Direction and Design Strategy

  • Oversee the creation and production of design, graphics, video, photo, and multimedia content for marketing campaigns, social media, websites, and other digital platforms.
  • Create a best-in-class global creative design team and strategy including creative direction, brand identity, creative copywriting, and brand standards for B2B and b3C customers while delivering excellent client service.
  • Collaborate with communications, marketing and global business leaders to ensure creative content and deliverables advance and build a consistent Graco brand globally.
  • Inspire internal business leaders with a creative vision and execute it flawlessly through best practices to engage and excite customers and other company stakeholders.
Brand Leadership
  • Monitor and reinforce the organization's corporate global brands and reputation across a variety of print and digital platforms, channels and multimedia initiatives through consistent design and brand messaging.
  • Identify, select and manage vendor services as appropriate for the project.
  • Provide support to the Graco Global Branding Board to ensure execution against the Branding Board charter.
  • Work closely with the Director of Brand and Communications and other senior leaders to align creative design strategy and execution with organizational goals and marketing strategies.
Project Management and Quality Control
  • Manage multiple print, digital and multimedia design and creative projects concurrently, across Graco's global businesses and develop recommendations to supplement the team with other internal and external resources as needed.
  • Develop enterprise standards and processes to increase workflow efficiency of the team while delivering best-in-class campaigns.
  • Monitor and assess the effectiveness and quality of the deliverables and adjust as needed.
  • Stay abreast of industry research and trends in creative, design and branding to evolve Graco's design capabilities and strategies.
Team Leadership and Financial Management
  • Lead, mentor, manage, and staff a creative design team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
  • Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual creative design budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives.
What You Will Bring to Graco
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in creative design.
  • Excellent leadership skills; 4+ years of team leadership experience preferred.
  • Proven leadership experience in designing and implementing creative design and content strategies and deliverables within a global business context.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design tools.
  • Project management experience with a proven track record of delivering superior customer services and deliverables to clients.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to partner collaboratively with multifunctional teams on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated ability to stay current with industry trends and apply best practices to creative design.
  • Experience with developing, sustaining and evolving branding initiatives.
  • An extremely high level of energy, sense of urgency and decisiveness, along with sound problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel approximately 10% of time, both domestic and international
