The AWS Supply Chain Finance team is looking for a passionate, insightful, and results-oriented Finance Manager to join our team. This role will present an opportunity to improve financial controllership processes for the Procurement, Finance, and Engineering teams.

As a Finance Manager, you will play a critical role in AWS Supply Chain Finance's FP&A and Month End Close (MEC) processes where you will work across the entire AWS Supply Chain Finance organization to Dive Deep into variances and leverage your superb communication skills to share insights to executive leadership to shape strategic decisions. You will own the planning and tracking of AWS Supply Chain's Opex to provide financial controllership and support for business expansion.

Key Job Responsibilities

  1. Own Supply Chain Finance's FP&A and Month End Close (MEC) process from end to end ensuring variances are tracked down and insightfully explained to executive management (finance and business).
  2. Earn Trust across AWS Infrastructure Finance and partner FP&A teams to learn the business.
  3. Identify opportunities to resolve defects proactively. Challenge existing processes and Invent and Simplify to enable FP&A to scale with AWS' ambitious global growth.
  4. Perform control activities to support Amazon's Governance, Risks and Compliances (GRCs).
  5. Develop ways to scale and automate existing opex tracking processes. Think big on solutions to eliminate manual processes.
  6. Ad hoc analysis requests. Work with ambiguous data and turn it into insight and information.

Minimum Requirements

  1. 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience.
  2. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience.
  3. 5+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience.
  4. 5+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience.
  5. Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results.
