Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center is adding an Oncology Hospitalist to their team. 

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida is actively seeking a Hematologist/Oncologist to join our growing team in Cancer Medicine. This physician will join our Oncohospitalist program focused on providing exceptional care for our hospitalized patients.

Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center recently opened a 330,000 square foot patient-centered, state-of-the-art facility dedicated solely to the full spectrum of oncology care. The cancer program is fully operational at 3 locations and adjoining hospitals within Jacksonville metropolitan area (Downtown, South and Clay).

What You Can Expect

  • 7 on / 7 off shift.
  • Inpatient clinic.
  • There will be 2 other inpatient oncohospitalists on the team.
  • 5-10 new patients a day. 
  • 20 inpatient follow ups. 
  • Adjunct academic appointment at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. 
  • Leadership opportunities in Cancer Medicine (programmatic development, research, and quality.

What You Will Need

  • Be eligible for or board-certified in Oncology or Hematology/Oncology with a record of clinical and academic achievement.
    • Clinical research experience and prior educational activities is desired.
  • Demonstrated commitment to multidisciplinary cancer care.
    • Fully support the clinical, research and educational missions of our program.
  • Establish and maintain an active clinical practice.
