Director of Design & Project Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Interaction: Attend meetings to understand and bring to life the client’s vision.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and inspire a team of interior designers, including overseeing the work of 4 junior designers.
- Project Management: Develop innovative design schemes that meet budget requirements, maintain project schedules, and ensure accurate product ordering.
- Site Visits: Travel occasionally to client locations and visit project sites to ensure everything is up to spec.
- Design Center Maintenance: Keep design materials and resources current and organized.
Required Skills:
- Experience: At least 5 years in corporate/office commercial interiors and 10-15 years in the industry.
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled in AutoCAD; knowledge of REVIT is a bonus.
- Client-Facing Abilities: Strong presentation and coordination skills with clients.
Job Type:
- Contract-to-Hire: This is a 12-month contract position with the potential for permanent hire.
Work Site:
- Hybrid Position: Enjoy a mix of on-site work in Berkeley Heights, NJ, and remote work.
Company Size:
Join a close-knit team of 12, with plans to expand to a new office.
Schedule:
Benefit from a hybrid schedule with 3 days in the office and 2 days remote, working from 8 AM to 4 PM, Monday to Friday.
