General Summary
Qualcomm is a leading supplier of chipset platforms for IoT applications. You will be part of the team responsible for managing the IOT SW and Solutions roadmap, and driving a comprehensive product strategy with emphasis on software capabilities for IOT Products, specially focused on the Retail Industry, for example Rugged Handhelds, Payment Terminals, Smart Cameras etc. You will be promoting the technology, industry-leading trends, and directing those involved in design, modification and evaluation of all phases of the product.

Responsibilities

  1. Reviews identified gaps in market based on complex analyses of overall ecosystem demands and makes portfolio decisions on how these gaps impact product roadmaps.
  2. Validates business cases and determines relevance to organizational strategy; contributes to the creation of the product roadmap to advance organizational strategy and goals.
  3. Translates customer needs, product roadmaps, and organizational strategy into successful product portfolios and facilitates decisions necessary for product delivery by partnering with cross-functional leaders.
  4. Drives portfolio launch strategies and identifies technical marketing opportunities such as conferences, congresses, and direct customer contact and ensures successful product launch.
  5. Reviews, prepares, and delivers technical presentations regarding product roadmaps, RFPs, and/or proposals to demonstrate and market product portfolios to customers and/or prospective customers, and integrates customer feedback into project roadmaps.
  6. Drives effective cross-functional collaboration by ensuring that Engineering and other internal partners (i.e., program management) meet customer expectations, promised deadlines, and align with overall roadmap for product portfolio(s).
  7. Drives communication plan and communicates appropriately with internal customers, third-party vendors, and senior management to build relationships, ensure alignment and buy-in, and achieve product goals as well as manage any planned changes.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, Humanities, or related field.
  2. 5+ years of Product Management or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  1. Master’s degree in a technical field such as engineering or computer science or equivalent experience.
  2. 10+ years of Product Management or related work experience in embedded platforms including inferencing techniques on CPU, GPU or NPU.
  3. Experience with Wireless technologies like Wi-Fi, BLE and UWB.
  4. Experience with Software Architecture and Linux based OS frameworks.
  5. Ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, to achieve extraordinary results.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  6. Exercising exceptional creativity to innovate new ideas and develop innovative products/processes without established objectives or known parameters.
  7. Using deductive and inductive problem solving; multiple approaches may be taken/necessary to solve the problem; often information is missing or conflicting; advanced data analysis and interpretation skills are required.
  8. Occasionally participates in strategic planning within own area affecting immediate operations.

Pay Range
$171,000.00 - $256,000.00
The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted. Even more importantly, please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Qualcomm. We also offer a competitive annual discretionary bonus program and opportunity for annual RSU grants (employees on sales-incentive plans are not eligible for our annual bonus).
