Director of Operations

An asset management firm in New York City is currently seeking an experienced Finance professional to join their staff as their new Director of Operations. In this role, the Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the operations of our commercial real estate lending activities.
Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for the operational aspects of the CRE finance business, leveraging the firm's in-house capabilities for loan origination, underwriting, and asset management.
• Oversee all financing and financing relationships including negotiation of all facilities.
• Oversee securities execution and financing; coordinate those items with CRE trading desk
• Assist with cash management and liquidity modelling
• Handle deal allocations across funds
• Oversee all financial covenants and other requirements for fund or borrowing limitations.
• Help lead and manage the CRE Operations team
• Develop and maintain relationships with portfolio management, internal deal, asset management, securitization, tax investor relations and legal teams
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of relevant experience at a Financial Services firm
• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Real Estate, or a related field
• Prior experience managing a team
• Solid analytical, problem solving, and research skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized

Desired Skills:

• MBA and/or Advanced Degree
• Commercial Real Estate background
• Experience with Real Estate Debt or Leveraged Loans
