HEICO is currently recruiting an Accounting Manager for our Santa Ana, CA -based subsidiary, Marway Power Solutions ("Marway") . Marway is a designer and manufacturer of power distribution solutions for systems deployed in defense, aerospace and communications. Its primary products are power distribution units, power supplies, automatic transfer switches and related control panels.
The Accounting Manager must have strong accounting knowledge and Excel skills, a positive attitude and able to successfully work in our fast-paced manufacturing environment. Under supervision, this position performs accounting work in the management and maintenance of accounting records and works with established guidelines of financial reporting, budgeting, general ledger, accounts payable, utility billing, data processing and performs other related work as required.
This position is located in Santa Ana, California and is a hybrid role .

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the month end close, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and variance analysis of the financial statements.
- Assist with the development of the accounting reports and functionality of the company's enterprise resource planning software, Visual Manufacturing.
- Manage inventory valuation, including tracking/valuing all materials, work in progress, and finished goods at month-end. Oversee the annual physical inventory count. Perform the review of inventory obsolescence and excess inventory in accordance with Marway's policy.
- Assist with preparation of a weekly forecast report as well as the annual budget.
- Review of sales contracts and purchase orders to ensure they meet revenue recognition requirements under ASC606.
- Manage and reconcile all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable within the company.
- Manage Marway's fixed asset management, including entering additions and disposals in the Fixed Asset Software, ensuring all new assets are tagged and responsible for the fixed asset count performed every three years.
- Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules required by HEICO for internal and external (SEC) reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return.
- Assist with the compliance of financial and IT controls to meet the 404 Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
- Provide financial, administrative, and operational support, particularly in the areas of cost and inventory control as well as process improvement.
- Ensure local tax and regulatory filings and compliance.
- Handle special projects.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Worked in a publicly-traded company and/or for a public accounting firm.
- 2+ years of Manufacturing experience.
- CPA or CMA a plus.
- Experience in Visual Manufacturing is a plus.
- Strong general ledger and inventory cost accounting experience is a plus.
- Ability to analyze transactions and large amounts of data; Advanced Excel skills are a must.
- Demonstrated strengths in organizational, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills, including the ability to listen attentively and to communicate information clearly and effectively.
- Must be able to multi-task, be able to prioritize as necessary and meet accounting deadlines.
- Self-starter with a high degree of initiative, urgency, and follow through.
- Able to work in a team, foster a positive work environment and willing to assist teammates in achieving departmental goals.
