About
ByteDance Networking brings together innovative ideas and technologies from network architecture, software defined networking (SDN), network virtualization, switch software and hardware co-design, and high-speed networking, to create hyper-scale data-center networking solutions that power several of the most popular apps of the world such as Douyin and TikTok which serve hundreds of millions of users around the globe.
About The Team
The Network Product Design team supports ByteDance Networking, including the four business directions of physical network, OTN, virtual network, and high-speed network, as well as the product needs of various R&D directions such as SDN and IBN. It supports network resource management, operation and maintenance automation, and operation digitization, and ultimately realizes digital automation, intelligence, and digital development of ByteDance IDC networking.
We are looking for a Network Product Manager to join our network product design team. You will manage the IDC network product lifecycle by gathering and prioritizing product requirements, defining the product roadmap, and working closely with network engineering to deliver the product. You will collaborate with different functional groups including Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, and Operations.
Responsibilities
- Define the product roadmap and prioritize new features for IDC network solutions
- Gather customer needs and transform them into well-defined requirements and new product features
- Lead problem solving to make quick, thoughtful decisions on complex technical issues
- Stay up to date on competitors' solutions and leading innovations in the industry
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Programming or related field
- 3+ years of experience in product management or a related role for IDC networks
- Strong understanding of IDC network architectures, cloud management platforms, and other network technologies
- Proven experience gathering requirements, defining feature roadmaps and bringing solutions to market
- Excellent English written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an aptitude for abstract thinking
- Demonstrated skill at collaborating cross-functionally and leading feature development teams

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $165120 - $414000 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
