  • Salary—Cardinal offers competitive wages with a yearly performance merit program. The starting salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000, depending on experience.

The following duties are considered essential to the job:

  • Working closely with leaders to determine staffing needs to provide quality care for our residents.
  • Ability to travel to and support multiple locations - this position specifically would lead HR functions at our Ohio locations (Columbus, Akron, and Canton areas).
  • Develop recruiting strategies to ensure a pipeline of candidates for all positions.
  • Conduct file audits to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
  • Ensure that our employees are qualified to fulfill their roles.
  • Ensure that employees embrace our culture of care, compassion, and dignity.
  • Manage risk of employee relations concerns issues within assigned properties.
  • Follow federal, state and local laws.
  • Confidentially handle employee concerns and issues.
  • Ensure that documentation is factual and accurate.
  • Benefit administration.
  • Assisting the HR functions at all facilities.

Education & Knowledge Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in HR or business related field highly preferred.
  • SHRM-CP (or a willingness to study for and obtain SHRM-CP) or PHR required.

Essential Job-Related Experience/Abilities:

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
  • Ability to walk continuously, bend frequently, and sit occasionally.
  • Ability to complete and maintain documentation regarding a resident’s status.
  • Ability to operate computer systems and phone systems.
  • Ability to maintain confidential data.
  • Ability to build relationships with all individuals.

Preferred Job-Related Experience/Abilities/Education:

  • 2+ years of HR experience including recruiting, worker's compensation, workplace investigations, and compliance.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with an ATS (Applicant Tracking System).
  • General knowledge of employment law including FMLA.
