HIS International is a leading Children's sportswear company doing business in licensed and private label with ALL major retailers across the USA.

Job Description

  • Understand and execute HIS International/account product initiatives of assigned programs from fabric sourcing through style development up until official bulk production handoff.
  • Manage key calendar deliverables (development t&a) and serve up creative solutions as needed to meet key deadlines.
  • Partner with designers to understand key ideas and execute product/program intent seasonally with a right the first-time product execution goal.
  • Lead the charge in tech set up meetings to engineer right first-time product in an efficient and cost-effective manner; presenting style engineering recommendations, cost-effective components, and market research.
  • Manage raw materials strategy for assigned programs, and partner with cross-functional teams/partners to leverage pricing, best time and action, and quality.
  • Understand and use learnings from global raw materials opportunities to manage business by keeping track of historical piece goods costing and materials/yarn price hikes.
  • Procure raw materials (fabrics, trims, wash) with supply base and all necessary components in preparation for style execution.
  • Coordinate with sample room and technical designers for timely specs and best final sample execution.
  • Align with sourcing team to execute regional factory allocation strategy.
  • Create and upkeep seasonal sample status charts/WIP reports, providing visibility and real-time product status to cross-functional partners (sales and design), ensuring accuracy.
  • Daily communication with overseas factories/partners on sample developments to ensure timely and right the first-time sample execution.
  • Communicate design color, lab dip, and strike-off comments to suppliers and track in submits for approval.
  • Track in final samples for internal sample reviews; working with sample room or factories to make corrections as needed to meet design intent and key deadlines.
  • Ship final approved samples to accounts for final consideration.
  • Manage seasonal actualization reporting tools and outline and create best practices to improve product life cycle/product management process.
