You want a lead role in managing day-to-day Procurement activities. You thrive when sustaining value and delivering on-time services within Procure to Invoice and Vendor / Supplier Management workflows. Your experience with indirect procurement and desire to continuously improve operational efficiency and effectiveness will help delight our customers. You speak all things data and deliver outcomes via metrics such as cost savings (avoidance, price, total cost), key performance indicators (KPI), and service level agreements (SLA). You demonstrate great agility in day-to-day activities, thrive when delivering on-time and at-cost procurement services, and desire a supporting role in the ongoing procure-to-pay (P2P) transformation.

You have intellectual curiosity, build strong coalitions, possess strong financial acumen, and continuously demonstrate high degrees of ownership, integrity, and attention to detail. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience or BA / BS and a minimum of 2 years relevant experience or MBA / MS.
  • Demonstrated experience in day-to-day activity management within the Procure to Pay and Supplier Management / Vendor Management workflows, e.g., requisition to purchase order, requirements definition, solicitation and bids, negotiation, source selection, legal review, contract award, vendor onboarding, performance management approach, and business reviews, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for continuous improvement through data analysis and build a business case to effectively communicate the benefits, including suggesting metrics or KPIs to track outcomes and sustained performance.
  • Familiarity with large language models (LLM) and artificial intelligence (AI) and how they can support automation and increased productivity within the procurement function.
  • Globally minded, self-motivated, flexible, and creative operations analyst who can prioritize, multi-task, and work horizontally and vertically across a decentralized organization to drive results.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to lead, interact with, influence, resolve conflict, and drive decisions/accountability among individuals from various cultures and functional disciplines.
  • Experience utilizing dashboards (Tableau) to prioritize tasks and improve KPIs and metrics.
  • Experience using ServiceNow to manage customer support and procurement operations-related processes.
  • Knowledge of Procure to Pay (P2P), Procurement Operations, Spend Diagnostic, and B2B business marketplace technologies a benefit.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft business programs (e.g., Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity using large-scale ERP, e-procurement, and reporting tools, including Workday Finance, Jaggaer, Cognos, and Tableau.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Responsible for day-to-day procurement activities, including, but not limited to:

  • Requisition to Purchase Order and Change Order processing
  • New vendor onboarding, relationship management, performance management, and compliance to terms across both parties
  • Work with suppliers to communicate requirements driven by changes in technology and policy
  • Maintain deadlines on deliverables and communication status updates to business partners and internal clients regarding contractual issues
  • Participate in sourcing events
  • Collaboration with Legal / Office of General Counsel on contract renewals and events of non-conformance (e.g., consideration planning), and supplier/vendor performance reviews
  • Provide customer support and communicating P2P policies and procedures to the university community
  • Contribute to operational reporting of KPIs and metrics

Responsible for day-to-day functional administration of Jaggaer Supplier Management module, including:

  • Support procurement operations systems administration and ongoing change management by communicating with customers and participating in testing system updates
  • Provide functional enhancement proposals with SWOT analysis for procurement operations processes and technology

Responsible for cross-functional team support, including sourcing, contract intake, Workday Finance, contract management business processes, system testing, etc.
