Responsible for executing the sales process from business development to nurturing leads and closing the sale in order to maximize club revenue through new business and customer acquisition.
Primary Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for the development and execution of prospecting and marketing plans for all product lines sold by the club.
- Schedule sales calls and business development activities to grow the pipeline with qualified leads and execute sales strategies through timely follow up and activities that produce high closing rates.
- Conduct tours of the club to qualified potential clients, coordinating with other departments to create customized experiences that increase sales.
- Establish a client base of organizations, associations, social and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales efforts.
- Represent the club at trade shows and other public forums.
- Manage prospect database and pipeline including detailed notes and organization utilizing CRM system.
- Drive lead generation through cold-calling and outside business development.
- Maintain communication with club and sales support team through weekly forecasting, business reviews, and sales reporting as necessary.
- Manage, coach, and develop sales managers and be responsible for the team’s overall performance and daily sales activities.
- Align sales teams scheduling in the club with market demand of product lines. Responsible for managing and communicating sales team calendar and backup list of department heads with GM.
- Conduct quarterly competitive market analysis for development of pricing and positioning strategies for growing revenue.
- Negotiate function space and food & beverage prices ensuring confirmation and requirements in writing are shared with the client and affected departments.
- Accurately forecast revenues and track bookings.
Qualifications:
- Minimum three years of commissioned sales experience preferred.
- Proven ability to prospect, negotiate and close new business.
- Strong prioritization, planning, and organizational skills.
- Ability to utilize CRM and funnel management tools and apply them consistently to forecast business, manage customer opportunities, build opportunity pipeline, and make business decisions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in leading others preferred.
- Sets high goals and continuously strives for excellence.
- Effectively illustrates a compelling point of view and moves others to action.
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year College or University.
