Education Data Analyst

Med-Office of the Dean - Pennsylvania-Pittsburgh - (23003810)

Evaluates business requirements and performs basic data integration and analysis. Develops routine analytical and reporting tools utilizing integrated data. Provides technical support.

Essential Functions:

The incumbent will serve as a liaison to various faculty and staff throughout the School of Medicine (SOM) and the Provost’s Office in their role as the data information coordinator for all Graduate Education data needs for the graduate programs (PhD, MS, Certificate). Graduate Data includes but is not limited to PhD trainee demographics and funding information, graduate student admissions and enrollments statistics, graduate faculty database, student-mentor data, and trainee outcomes. This effort includes but is not limited to data analysis from multiple University/Department and internet sources, tracking graduate student and alumni data, and reporting of teaching and mentoring information from the 11 SOM PhD programs including extraction of data from University data systems, and working alongside Graduate Program coordinators for information. This effort is continuous and ongoing through the year requiring the incumbent to maintain consistent oversight to perform data validation checks. The incumbent will be involved in building, testing, and maintenance of database systems to satisfy Graduate Education needs. Preference to candidates with experience analyzing and interpreting student educational data, creating reports, and managing and planning databases.

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. *a hybrid work arrangement is an option

Work Arrangement: Hybrid: Combination of On-Campus and Remote work as determined by the department.
