Job Title: Sales Lead

The Sales Leader plays an important role in accelerating growth for a territory of KidStrong Centers. This position is ultimately responsible for meeting and exceeding goals and targets related to member growth, retention, and community engagement. The Sales Lead will demonstrate a deep understanding and passion for the KidStrong brand and curriculum in order to meet and exceed sales goals. The Sales Lead must have a laser focus on meeting and exceeding numbers and be obsessed with lead generation and follow-up. Flawless maintenance of company-generated leads is a must. Dedication to building the lead pipeline through community engagement and self-generated partnerships is required.
This is not a 9a-5p job. For the Sales Lead to be successful, making calls and interacting with parents when they are available (mornings, evenings, and weekends) is required. This role is based out of a location TBD by Area Developer (5 days a week) and will spend at least 1 shift per week in the center. Additionally, this role will go out into the community spreading the word about KidStrong! Flexibility in availability is required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive membership sales through high-volume outbound phone calls on inbound leads (200+ calls/day is typical effort)
- Execute sound communication with the centers to ensure observations, trials, and new members receive a world-class experience when starting their KidStrong journey.
- Self-management and motivation to exceed KidStrong sales targets
- Oversee the sales process and systems
- Manage sales data and present to regional leadership an assessment of sales results and plans to drive overall portfolio performance
- Work closely with Area Developer and Director on scheduling observations, trials, and enrollments by managing and following up on inbound leads
- Respond and follow through in a timely manner with all KidStrong owner requests and client/lead requests
- Provide and maintain the highest level of customer service beyond the sale to protect brand integrity
- Create and implement quarterly community engagement plans to drive lead generation and support brand awareness
- Proactively source partnerships and corporate sales opportunities
- Willingness to support center-level initiatives (e.g., center maintenance, training, etc.)
- Work 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day with the following schedule:
- Monday-Thursday 3:00pm-7:00pm
- Saturday 9:00am-1:00pm
- Dependable attendance to team meetings and community events.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 2+ years of experience in health, fitness, or hospitality sales is strongly preferred
- Availability to work the required schedule. Mobility to support the territory is required.
- Experience with systems such as ZenPlanner, Sales Messenger, HubSpot, Google Sheets/Docs/Slides, and auto-dialer systems is preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in outbound phone sales is strongly preferred (200+ calls/day is typical effort)
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets/quota
- Strong sales mentality and comfortability with outbound sales efforts
- Demonstrated urgency during promotional cycles to maximize return on ad spend
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Entrepreneurial spirit with open, participative leadership style and drive for excellence
- Strong work ethic, integrity, and professional demeanor
- Practical work experience using Microsoft Office Products
- Prior CRM experience (Salesforce, etc.) is strongly preferred
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position will not directly supervise any employees.
Sphere of Interaction:
The Sales Lead will work closely with other Sales Managers, Directors within the Region, KidStrong families, and potential members.
