Independent Living Program Director– Perth Amboy, NJ
Annual Salary = $70,000
Responsibilities:
- Supervise a multi-disciplinary team that provides intensive case management to young adults ages 18-24 who have experienced out of home placement and housing instability.
- Oversee day to day operations of implementing an evidenced-based program model.
- Effectively manage the electronic referral system.
- Meet with young adults eligible to apply for the program and assess their readiness for program entry.
- Conduct community outreach/presentations; develop and maintain community relationships with employers and post-secondary schools/programs to support young adults in the program.
- Provide after hours on-call coverage to direct staff on-call.
Requirements:
- BA/BS in a social service field plus 5 years of supervisory experience; Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
- Bilingual preferred.
- Ability to work independently and provide supervision to the team with strong organization skills, knowledge of community, and the ability to advocate for former foster youth.
- Acceptable driver’s license history.
