Trading Assistant - Options

A financial services firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as a Trading Assistant - Options in their New York City office.
Responsibilities:

• Working with trading teams to process trade execution across the trade lifecycle
• Working in a team environment that closely integrates trading, technology and operational excellence
• Working with the trading desk to manage risk breaks, assist with executions and middle office functions
• Automating operational workflows and partnering with developers and technology teams to architect, build, and deliver robust platforms to reduce manual overhead and risk
• Developing robust processes to aid in the deployment of new trading capabilities
• Coordinating with developers to help with releases and testing for new software
• Coordinating efforts with Trading, Technology, Compliance and Operations teams to ensure
• smooth expansion and day to day operation of the business
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree from a top tier university in economics, business administration, computer science, engineering, finance, mathematics, physics or a related field
• 2 to 4 years experience
• Foundational knowledge of OTC markets
• Experience interfacing with trading and technology systems
• Process driven approach to problem solving
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise across multiple groups
• A highly analytic mentality and a rigorous attention to deal
