Position Summary:

The primary function of the Senior Accountant is responsible for reviewing consolidated financial statements, preparation and posting of periodic journal entries, reviewing and improving internal financial controls across our operating facilities, identifying opportunities for process improvements, as well as for certain system administration tasks in our key financial systems.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Preparation and posting of monthly, quarterly, and annual journal entries.
  • Performs reviews of financial statements, both at our operating locations and in our corporate offices.
  • Performs reviews of corporate internal controls over key accounts and in-scope systems.
  • Leverage existing technology and accounting systems to create efficiencies and process improvements.
  • Assist other departments within the finance group with intracompany reporting needs.
  • Performs analysis and reconciliations for key accounts on a reoccurring basis.
  • Assists in maintaining the documentation of the control environment, which includes narratives, flow charts, and policies and procedures.
  • Supporting internal and external audits.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in public accounting in auditing

Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in stationary position in an office environment: 80%
  • Will frequently move about inside the office to access files, office machinery, etc.
  • Must be able to operate basic office machinery.
  • Must be able to communicate with team and management and be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • Must be able to travel as needed.
