As the leader of the ads measurement domain, you'll build industry defining retail media measurement methodology at scale that enable Walmart suppliers and sellers to reach shoppers with relevant ads and high performing campaigns while helping shoppers discover products to enhance their shopping journey. We are looking for Staff Data Scientist to help reimagine the way we empower Suppliers and Sellers/Marketplaces with best-in-class omni-channel advertising tools at scale. This role will lead the adoption of our advertising products across customer segments.
Responsibilities
- Developing and enhancing display ads measurement methodology across sales lift, synthetic control group, ghost ads, MMM, MTA, A/B testing, etc.
- Defining vision and strategies for display ads measurement methodologies, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying market opportunities, building business cases, and approving objectives.
- Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating, and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership.
- Manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks.
- Continuously engage with senior leadership and stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage interdependencies.
- Explain complex modeling approaches in simple terms and develop compelling narratives that connect modeling results with business problems.
- Partner with cross-functional team to streamline data science solutions.
- Integrate disparate data sources and leverage state-of-the-art analytics best practices in order to deliver integrated actionable insights to partners and senior leadership around digital marketing optimization.
- Present media insights and recommendations to different levels of senior clients.

Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree in data science statistics, economics, operations research, engineering, or related field.
- 6+ years of industry experience in data science, measurement, marketing strategy & analytics, Ad-Tech, Mar-Tech or related fields.
- Proficient coding skills (SQL/Python/R) and database knowledge.
- Experienced in building measurement solutions such as sales lift, ghost ads, market mix, and multi-touch attribution models; Extensive experience with predictive modeling algorithms.
- Experience in product management, or related field.
- Strong project management skills, including managing technical resources and multiple priorities & milestones.
- You have a passion for working in a fast-paced agile environment.
- A collaborative mindset and sense of curiosity.
- Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements and prioritize.
- Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial, proven ability to influence others internally and externally.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD degree in Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, or related field.
- Experience in end-to-end product delivery, self-serve platforms, design, customer experiences, automation, optimizations, and data analytics.
