Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • As a key member of the Sparrow Living team, the VP of Sales is responsible for providing exceptional sales leadership, fostering a robust sales culture, leading modern strategies and execution, and inspiring community team members and the home office team to share in a common vision
  • As the organization’s most senior sales leader, the successful candidate will lead the sales organization’s performance and profitable achievement of sales revenue and occupancy goals
  • This role is critical in transforming the sales function, gaining buy in to the sales program from all team members, and developing and implementing KPIs to ensure desired goals and targets are met and/or exceeded
  • The successful VP of Sales is a major stakeholder in collaborating with operations, asset management, marketing, and other business functions while developing and implementing the strategic sales plans for the organization
  • It will be essential for this individual to build a program immersed in relational sales while focused on delivering high hospitality through best-in-class sales fundamentals and best practices
  • Lead a dynamic, growing sales force and mentor regional sales leadership team to high level of competence and execution
  • Provide strategic support, guidance, and direction to a portfolio of multifamily assets through the development and implementation of impactful sales programing, training, and coaching
  • Develop and maintain the sales force into the industry best
  • Participate in the recruitment and hiring of all sales team personnel with a focus on attracting and retaining top talent to optimize sales results
  • Proactively and systematically assess and continuously evaluate the execution of strategies and allocation of sales resources across the company
  • Oversee all sales policies, objectives, training, and initiatives Drive the achievement of budgeted occupancy and revenue
  • Recommend annual corporate revenue and occupancy goals and budgets
  • Spearhead effort to design new and improve existing training and development programs for the community team members
  • Develop clear relationship-based approach and methodology
  • Provide ongoing training both in the field and at company sales training functions
  • Make observations of individual and team performance and assess training needs, to include educating the sales force via the Flight Academy program
  • Ensure that Sparrow Living sales training programs and materials are the industry best-in-class
  • Advise community team members on ways to improve their sales performance – focusing on developing strengths, achieving goals, and building strong trust with prospects
  • Motivate and empower the sales teams in a positive manner by encouraging them to take an active, collaborative role in marketing their communities for success
  • Establish strong relationship with operation leadership team
  • Work with these leaders to create sales and marketing strategy and assist them in the execution of these plans
  • Serve as a partner with them to overcome community and team challenges, achieve occupancy goals, and train sales personnel
  • Responsible for KPI development and presenting accurate, insightful campaign analysis to drive decision-making throughout the organization
  • Direct team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets established in the company strategic plan
  • Analyze and monitor sales statistics to identify sales trends, evaluate sales team activities and performance, and create enhanced tools designed to improve results
  • Leverage CRM reports and other pertinent data to pinpoint strengths and opportunities for improvement with the sales force as a whole and within community sales teams
  • Leverage this proactive approach by developing and implementing sales and marketing action plans when needed
  • Ensure submittal of timely and accurate weekly/monthly sales reports
  • Analyze the competitive landscape and consumer trends across various geographic markets
