We're seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President to cover the applications and system infrastructure supporting the U.S. Bank Technology Audit team.
In the Audit division, we provide senior management an objective and independent assessment of the Firm's internal control environment for risk management and governance. This is a Vice President level position within Technology Audit, which is responsible for inspecting controls in the applications that support all three lines of business.

What you'll do in the role :
â?¢ Conduct risk assessment to prioritize coverage and align coverage strategy, scope of testing, and inspection techniques accordingly
â?¢ Lead a wide range of assurance activities (e.g., audits, continuous monitoring, closure verification) to assess risk and the state of controls supporting U.S. Banks Technology Governance and risk management
â?¢ Comprehensively articulate actionable insights regarding criticality and impact of risk and how well risk is managed to senior stakeholders and regulators
â?¢ Identify KRIs/KPIs and associated data sources to inform views on risk within coverage area
â?¢ Collaborate with global peers to identify and discuss risk themes and implications across business segments
â?¢ Help inform and address talent needs within coverage area, and identify stretch and development opportunities for team members
â?¢ Manage effective deployment and utilization of resources across assurance activities and deliverables
â?¢ Build relationships with other technology audit teams and provide oversight of Firmwide Audits that impact the US Banks to assess appropriate coverage of US Bank risks in Firm technology audits, risk assessment, and continuous monitoring.
â?¢ Partner with business auditors to build out metrics and oversight dashboards pertaining to Bank coverage
â?¢ Partner with Technology and Business Auditors to complete risk assessments/ control environment assessments/ audit scheduling/ audit planning/ test plan development and execution/ audit issue documentation/ and reports to senior management
â?¢ Build strong relationships with both the Business Unit and Technology senior management
â?¢ Present issues and reports to senior management
â?¢ Liaise with external regulators (e.g./ OCC/ FDIC/ FRB)
What you'll bring to the role :
â?¢ At least 8 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
â?¢ Advanced understanding of coverage area and industry, including risks, emerging risks and relevant regulations
â?¢ Expertise in audit principles, methodology, tools and processes (e.g., risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring)
â?¢ Ability to analyze data and prioritize coverage and assurance activities based on the critically of risk
â?¢ Ability to inspire and support others to do their best work through active coaching, feedback and development opportunities, and by ensuring trust and inclusion among team members
â?¢ Experience in overseeing resource utilization and monitoring progress against deliverables
â?¢ Knowledge of capital markets/ wealth management and banking products and process (e.g./ mortgages/ secured Lending/ leveraged loan trading/ securities based lending)
â?¢ Knowledge of compliance regulations (e.g./ 12 CFR Part 30/ Regulation E/ Regulation W/ AML) and data privacy (e.g./ GLBA) is a plus
â?¢ Bachelors Degree (Computer Science or IT related preferred)
â?¢ CISA/ CISSP or CPA certification a plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $110,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
