Job Requirements / Description

Recruiter: Community Analyst is a position within Harmonic’s core recruitment team focused on filling finance & operations positions on the East Coast and business development.

Harmonic Finance & Operations are one of the fastest growing recruitment businesses in the UK, and we’ve just launched in Boston! As the world’s only B Corp in our space, we are the go-to search partner for Tech Scale-Ups and the Creative Industries seeking Finance and Operations talent.

We take pride in our model that emphasizes the development and growth of our team. We are a team of 6 and with the opportunity for expansion, we’re seeking recruiters who are looking to develop into future leaders! This is a brilliant opportunity for those who want to be at the forefront of the US growth within a business that already has strong foundations and a proven track record in the UK.

The Opportunity:

In response to high demand from US funds invested in our UK and European client base, we launched Harmonic Finance Inc in Boston in 2021. To spearhead our ongoing expansion, our Co-founder, Fin Glanvill, relocated to Boston in March 2023.

Led by our Founder, Charlie Walker, who has successfully founded and scaled 2 international recruitment businesses, Harmonic is poised to replicate its exponential growth in the US market.

We offer unrivalled career progression – with colleagues having the opportunity to become a leader or manager in as little as 18 months. First year on target earnings are between $150-$170K, significantly rising each year, but with an uncapped commission structure, you can far exceed this!

As well as great commercial potential, we are also incredibly proud of our small but dynamic culture. Based in the heart of Boston in a beautifully designed co-working space, we are a values-led recruitment agency with an inclusive and non-corporate culture. We get together for regular socials, company away days, and industry events.

Roles and Responsibilities:

Immerse yourself within the Tech space and gain valuable analytical skills that will help you build comprehensive knowledge of the market. We will equip you with the tools and resources needed to succeed, upskilling you in networking, research, and commercial negotiations to a high level, winning new business and managing the end-to-end recruitment process.

Daily and weekly targets will be used during your training so if you don’t thrive in a competitive environment (albeit a super-friendly one!), then this probably isn’t the role for you.

We expect successful candidates to make promotion to Senior Community Analyst between their fifth and eight months in the job.

  • Build a niche candidate network via phone and face-to-face business development (perhaps more Zoom heavy initially!)
  • Building trusted relationships with hiring managers (founders, CEOs and CFOs) across the US and advise on recruiting and hiring process.
  • Help clients build an engaging and detailed job description based on their specific needs.
  • Manage the application process and screen candidates for positions before submitting to live vacancies.
  • Support clients and candidates with contract and salary negotiations
  • Take responsibility for applicant tracking on LinkedIn Recruiter and the quality of the Harmonic CRM data.
  • Manage and monitor social media channels.
  • Source information or 'leads' on urgent hiring opportunities for Harmonic to fill
  • Create original content recruitment-related content specific to your marketplace to build credibility as an expert in your space

The Essentials:

  • Fantastic verbal and written communication skills
  • Good educational background
  • A competitive spirit
  • An appreciation and sharing of our values
  • Creativity
  • Strong, lateral thinking processes
  • Previous paid work experience (can be part-time or between terms)

Package & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $45,000 with OTE at $80-120k.
  • Annual bonus (linked to display of values)
  • 1 x company weekend away (paid for by Harmonic!)
  • Company lunches
  • Incentives relating to music, health and fitness and food.
  • Funded home working set up (we have a 4.5-day work week with half days on Friday!)
  • Medical cover and plan 401k
  • 20 vacation days (rising by 1 day per year of service to 25 days) + public holidays.
