A correctional facility is seeking a family physician assistant for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Denver, CO.
This position, starting ASAP with a credentialing time of 3-4 weeks and requiring a background check, is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at the Denver Women's Correctional Facility. The minimum assignment length is three months unless the candidate has current or prior experience with the Colorado Department of Corrections. The schedule is Monday-Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, or Tuesday-Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM, with no call responsibilities. The provider will care for 10-20 adult female patients daily, handling chronic care and intake exams. Required certifications include a Colorado license and DEA. The facility uses paper charting, and the provider will work alongside RNs, MAs, and MDs.
