The therapist is required to conduct intakeassessments, to maintain the case record in a timely fashion, to completeauthorizations with various funding sources in a timely manner as required, andto conduct appropriate treatment services based on medical necessity. Regularworking hours for staff are Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 7 pm and Friday8:30 am to 5 pm. Evening hours will be required, and determined based onprogram needs.***ABH is the largest program that client has and a typical case load is around 50 active cases. ABH currently has over 100 employees which includes leadership, case managers, and other therapists.***Specific responsibility is to participate in thedelivery of clinical services, including intake evaluations, and directtreatment for adults and families.2.Assess and document the needs of clients who presentthemselves for outpatient mental health and/or co-occurring substance abuse servicesutilizing Person-Centered Planning principals.3.Provide individual and group therapy.4.Work collaboratively with others in relation to theclient and family including psychiatrists, primary care physicians, schoolpersonnel and other family service or support people.5.Must meet all of the contractual requirements of thefunding sources and/or agency, including maintaining State licensure.6.Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings andcase consultations.7.Complete clinical records and agency documentation in atimely manner consistent with policies and procedures of the Guidance Center.8.Follow a professional code of ethics.9.Coordinate effective discharge planning prior to caseclosure. 10. Complete24 hours of training in the treatment of adults with mental health and/orco-occurring substance use disorders.11. Candidates without a state license can be consideredbut must obtain state licensure (LLMSW, LLPC, TLLP, LMSW, LPC or LLP) within a60-day training period beginning on the date of hire. This period may beextended by up to an additional 60 days of training at the sole discretion ofthe employer. Failure to obtain licensure within the training period willresult in the employee being unqualified to perform work functions. Beyond thetraining period, all state licensures must continually remain active, ineffect, and free from disciplinary action.Candidates must obtain the Qualified MentalHealth Professional credential within 120 days of hire. Must have one year ofexperience (may include time spent in fieldwork or internship) treating orworking with people who have been diagnosed with mental illness.Must be able to work independently.Must have excellent written, verbal, andinterpersonal communication skills.Must have excellent organizational andattention to detail skills in order to track and prepare data accurately andtimely.Must have the ability interpret a variety ofinstructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.Cannot accept candidates who are on student/work visas, and/or require sponsorship to work in the U.S. at this time.Individual programs may have additionalrequirements.
