SUMMARY
Perform a variety of financial activities including processing, recording, general ledger accounting, and accounts reconciliation. Primary responsibilities will be processing all accounts receivable and inventory functions. Accounting Specialist should be committed to providing efficient and reliable support to accounting department team members and other departments.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Reconcile inventory with 3rd party facilities
  2. Adjust inventory as needed for disposal, cycle counts, scrap
  3. Process inventory receipts and returns
  4. Process inventory transfers for products moving to 3rd party facilities
  5. Analyze inventory fluctuations and identify cost discrepancies
  6. Process deposit for all incoming payments i.e., checks, wire
  7. Process payment requests to customers for Co-op, advertisement expenses, and other related expenses issued from customers
  8. Provide backup support for sales order processing when needed
  9. Assist in financial analysis and reconciliations
  10. Participate in the monthly financial closing process
  11. Assist with the year-end financial audit
  12. Assist with Annual Physical Inventory
  13. Filing and record-keeping tasks
  14. Complete special projects and miscellaneous assignments as required

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Associate’s degree or relevant certification
  2. 3-4 years experience in AP, AR, Inventory, and accounts reconciliation
  3. Proficient in Microsoft software programs (e.g., Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  4. Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data
  5. Experience and proficiency in relevant accounting software (NAV software preferred but not required)
  6. Strong follow-up skills
  7. Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
  8. Self-directed and people-oriented skills required; ability to function both individually and within a team structure
  9. Provide timely and relevant information for decision-making purposes
  10. Ability to liaise well with individuals at all levels of the organization both internally and externally
  11. General understanding of accounting principles, business concepts, and operations as it relates to the job functions
  12. Ability to meet set deadlines
  13. Attention to detail and accuracy, analysis, and problem-solving
  14. Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  15. Flexibility to successfully multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  16. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
