Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shop Manager to oversee daily maintenance and repairs for our mowing and landscape equipment, including trucks, mowers, landscape equipment, and snow removal items such as snow blowers and brooms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in time management, accurate diagnosing breakdowns and repairs, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize workload. This role requires excellent leadership skills and time management.
Duties
- Daily checks with the office and field teams for assignment and work priority.
- Maintains a good working relationship with office personnel, teams, and vendors.
- Current Iowa Driver’s License.
- Maintains logbooks for hours of use on each piece of equipment and service schedules.
- Regularly attends Staff and Leadership weekly and monthly meetings.
- Can pull a trailer behind a company truck, if/as needed.
- Keeps trucks and equipment ready for dispatch.
- Accurately handles credit card and vendor receipts. Turns in receipts weekly.
- Report equipment or property damage.
- May oversee cleanup done in shop or minor maintenance on some equipment by other employees.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in management.
- Administrative skills for receipts and Excel for our dashboard.
- Excellent communication skills; multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for inventory management.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- A customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
