We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our strong organization and growing team as a Recovery Services Mitigation and Claims Specialist located at our back office operations center in Rock Hill, SC. The Recovery Services Mitigation and Claims Specialist will support the daily administration of the Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP), Mechanical Repair Contract (MRC), and Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) claims processing for the credit union.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Recovery Services Mitigation and Claims Specialist will support credit union staff with daily processing of member claims, member inquiries, and member complaints for GAP, MRC, and CPI. This individual will also support other Recovery Services Department staff with a variety of department functions from a dual control Keystone permissions perspective.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  1. Generate Letters of Guarantee and obtain all necessary documentation in connection with member support of total loss auto insurance claims.
  2. Process all total loss payments received from insurance carriers and file GAP claims as needed.
  3. Maintain and track the credit unions GAP and MRC claims, reconcile claims, and process refunds.
  4. Provide operational support to branch staff for Gap Claims, Warranty Claims, and Collateral Protection Insurance (CPI) assistance.
  5. Provide membership support with Total Loss Assistance (TLA) claims processing programs acting as the liaison between the membership and vendor.
  6. Provide membership support with EZClaims processing programs, acting as a liaison between the membership and the vendor.
  7. Support membership with CPI inquiries or filing claims.
  8. Assist with adding or refunding CPI premiums.
  9. Upload acceptable insurance policies and fund pending CPI policies.
  10. Remedy member complaints regarding GAP, MRC, and CPI issues and ensure call de-escalation.
  11. Assist with testing the CPI PRM as upgrades are published.
  12. Maintain office petty cash.
  13. Ensure all teller work is imaged within the OnBase software.
  14. Comply with Founders' policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
  15. All other duties as assigned.

Specifications:
  • Individual must be self-motivated, have excellent motivation skills, and able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
  • Must have a proficient working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including, but not limited to, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to de-escalate calls and remedy member complaints.
  • Ability to gain proficiency with Keystone, OnBase, and Temenos software.
  • A high school diploma is required along with a minimum of 2 years credit union or related experience.
