- Manage Shipping and Receiving: Lead teams to ensure safety and efficiency while maintaining high-quality standards.
- International and Inbound Logistics: Coordinate all aspects of logistics, including managing transportation management systems (TMS) for customers.
- Budget Management: Responsible for the budgets of the Shipping and Receiving departments.
- Negotiation: Negotiate freight contracts with carriers to optimize costs and delivery times.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company procedures, customer route guides, and logistics carrier requirements to minimize fines.
- Leadership: Oversee and guide a team, ensuring quality output, compliance with regulations, and adherence to company standards
- Strong problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Effective time management, planning, and organizational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions with accountability.
- Proficient in negotiating freight contracts and managing logistical challenges.
- Strong PC skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to handle frequent interruptions while maintaining a high level of focus.
- Capable of analyzing invoices, identifying errors, and resolving logistical issues.
- Proficient with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) Portals
- Bachelor's degree in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field; with 5+ years of experience in a similar role, including at least 3 years of direct management experience. OR
- 10+ years of equivalent work experience and responsibilities
