Construction Estimator

iWorld Professionals is seeking a Construction Estimator for our client, a growing NY based construction company. This position is based on Buffalo, Rochester or Syracuse. Construction Estimator Position Summary:
This position is part of the pre-construction team responsible to provide advisement of construction projects to establish project budget, project plans and deadlines, project tasks and work with team members. Provide input with a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
Construction Estimator Responsibilities:

• Provide project analysis by reviewing project documentation to understand requirements and develop precise project budgets.
• Work closely with designers, developers, and construction trade partners to ensure progress drawings align with budgets and scopes, providing essential feedback to ownership.
• Perform complex analyses of data and metrics to support project decisions.
• Collaborate with project management and pre-construction teams to ensure timely hiring of subcontractors and vendors that meet project specifications.
• Maintain up-to-date database of industry cost information to produce reliable forecasts.
• Prepare and present comprehensive reports to senior management.
• Utilize thorough knowledge of project management control systems, including scheduling, estimating, cost control, procurement, and business development.

Construction Estimator Qualifications:

• Demonstrated efficiency using construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of the construction industry and business operations.
• High-level interpersonal skills to handle sensitive situations with poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present numerical data effectively and interpret written information accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and a continuous improvement mindset.
• Bachelor's Degree highly preferred or Equivalent Experience with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in construction and/or estimating.
• Ability to work onsite.
