Job Requirements / Description

PRIMARY FUNCTION:

Oversee the administration of the Supporting Mental Health and Resiliency in Texas Innovation Grants (S.M.A.R.T). Provide training and technical assistance to site-level staff. Coordinate the implementation of grant awards and ensures post-award compliance. Compile financials, in conjunction with the COO and accounting personnel, and non-financial data for the preparation of internal reports, compliance reports, and grant billings. Provide training, program support, and quality assurance to site level staff to support implementation and effectiveness of grant and grant funding.


KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):

  • Provide training to site-level staff in identifying and recruiting members who qualify grant participation.
  • Work with grant funding administrator to ensure proper implementation of programming and financial reporting.
  • Conduct regular site visits to provide on-site technical assistance to program staff.
  • Closely monitor annual subsidy allotments and ensure the maximum level of funding is secured throughout the year.
  • Provide administrative support for grant billings, including managing timecards and coordinating with the HR/Accounting departments to collect expenditures.
  • Perform various general grant administration functions such as billings, budget amendments, work plan changes, program evaluation, grant reports, and data collection.
  • Ensure accurate and timely preparation of grant billings and reports in conjunction with CEO/COO.
  • Demonstrate both verbal and written communication skills to engage with a diverse population of youth members and adults.
  • Assist site-level staff with the preparation of activity/programming reports for senior management.
  • Ongoing monitoring of grant budget and expenditures to ensure target outputs are met.
  • Communicate relevant grant information with departments/locations and all appropriate internal users.
  • Prepare written and statistical reports for various audiences.
  • Maintain professional partnerships with grant funding administrators, community, staff, and board members.
  • Schedule counselor appointments and manage community resources as well as wrap-around resources to parents.
  • Work as an Executive Community Member for the Centex Community Resource Coalition.


SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university preferred or a combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed Social Worker preferred.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • One or more years supervising staff in a dynamic working environment, with experience in coaching, evaluation, and feedback.
  • One or more years preparing, maintaining, and providing reporting on fiscal management needs.
  • Possess the ability to remain poised, positive, and energetic in a busy work environment.
  • Ability to work with others and lead a group.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Exposure to loud or excessive noise.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
