What You Will Do
- Support & implement UI/UX design modifications based on testing, customer feedback, and team goals in an agile environment.
- Participate in product decisions from definition to release.
- Improve designs based on testing, interviews, user research, surveys, etc.
- Work with product owners, scrum team, and stakeholders to understand requirements for new and existing features.
- Collaborate with developers during sprints to answer questions and validate features as they are being developed.
- Contribute to development of best practices and standards to be used by product and engineering.
What You Will Need
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree: Associate degree can be substituted with 2 additional years of relevant experience; Or Bachelor’s degree can be substituted with 4 additional years of relevant experience.
- 4-6 years of IT experience as UI/UX designer.
- Good knowledge of design concepts including but not limited to: interface design, prototyping, and design systems development.
- Proficient with design tools like Sketch or Adobe XD.
- Follow best practices and standards.
- Ability to articulate design requirements to be used by the development team.
- General understanding of Web Development best practices (HTML5, CSS3).
- Ability to maintain a big-picture vision while defining very detailed requirements.
- Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
- Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
- Exceptional customer service skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Public Trust.
What Would Be Nice To Have
- Experience building single-page applications consuming REST API.
- Human Centered Design (HCD) Experience.
- Experience participating in product decisions from definition to release.
- Experience with federal government systems and supporting federal projects.
- Experience implementing 508 Compliance.
The annual salary range for this position is $86,500.00-$129,700.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
