Job Summary:

This position is based in Syracuse, NY.


Management and Technology (IMT) department and is responsible for advancing internally-developed assets, innovations and processes from intake to assessment through to securing intellectual property rights protection, marketing, licensing, and technology transfer to end users.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in STEM or marketing and at least three years of professional related work experience. Demonstrated interest in technology development or technology transfer. Demonstrated project management experience.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA or JD preferred.
  • Five years of professional work experience, preferably in a technology transfer role at a university, with a state or federal agency, or in the private sector, with startups, incubators or investment firms, or in a business development group in industry. Experience with obtaining and administering grants and working with the staff of state or federal government economic development programs and incentives.
  • Strong communication skills across multi-disciplinary teams and external partners.
