Overview
Esri's geocoding solutions deliver global search and geocoding capabilities to organizations worldwide. These capabilities are applied in various applications across our platform, such as determining optimal locations for retail stores, managing resource allocation for package deliveries, or finding and navigating to your favorite coffee shop.
As a Senior Product Engineer on the Geocoding team, you will collaborate with a cross-functional global team consisting of software engineers, designers, product managers, and release engineers. Your role will involve designing, building, and delivering the next generation of geocoding features in ArcGIS Pro, utilizing effective software development and quality assurance practices.

Responsibilities
- Holistic owner of feature deliverables for geocoding within ArcGIS Pro
- Help shape product development with active contributions to user experience design and design discussions
- Estimate and prioritize product development tasks
- Communicate project status to team and management
- Develop and implement test plans and test cases, write test code, verify code changes and bug fixes
- Review and analyze automated test results, report status on software quality and stability, certify software quality
- Troubleshoot and triage issues reported by customers
- Research and analyze customer requests, industry standards, and specifications to help define requirements for enhancing geocoding in ArcGIS Pro
- Share workflows in help topics, blog articles, presentations, tutorials, and samples
Requirements
- 5+ years of industry experience in software testing and software development
- Experience with ArcGIS Pro or other geospatial technology
- Proven development skills with Python or other scripting languages
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Proven ability to build and deliver quality software in a team environment
- Effective project management, time management and organization skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor's in GIS, Geography, or related fields
Recommended Qualifications
- Intermediate experience with ArcGIS Pro or other geospatial technology
- Experience mentoring and providing leadership for a team.
- Familiarity with writing detailed design and requirements documents
- Understanding of the agile software development life cycle
- Master's in GIS, Geography or related fields
